Code of Conduct for Contractors & Suppliers

Purpose

Idea Department e.V. is committed to the highest standards of ethics, transparency, and accountability. This Code of Conduct sets out the expectations we place on all contractors, suppliers, and service providers who work with us. Compliance with this Code is a condition of doing business with Idea Department.

1. Legal and Ethical Compliance

  • Contractors and suppliers must comply with all applicable laws and regulations, including labor, tax, environmental, and anti-corruption laws.

  • Any form of fraud, bribery, embezzlement, money laundering, or corrupt practice is strictly prohibited.

2. Human Rights and Labor Standards

  • Forced, bonded, or child labor is not tolerated.

  • Workers must be treated with dignity and respect, without discrimination or harassment of any kind.

  • Fair wages, reasonable working hours, and safe working conditions must be ensured.

3. Protection Against Sexual Harassment, Exploitation and Abuse

  • Any form of sexual harassment, exploitation, or abuse by contractors, suppliers, or their staff is prohibited.

  • Contractors must implement measures to prevent and respond to misconduct, and must immediately report any suspicions or incidents to Idea Department.

4. Environmental Responsibility

  • Suppliers must minimize negative environmental impact, manage waste responsibly, and strive for sustainable practices.

5. Conflict of Interest & Transparency

  • Business decisions must be based on integrity and fairness, free from conflicts of interest.

  • Contractors must disclose any potential conflicts to Idea Department.

  • Gifts, hospitality, or favors that could influence decision-making are not permitted.

6. Monitoring & Enforcement

  • Idea Department reserves the right to audit, monitor, or request information to ensure compliance with this Code.

  • Breaches of the Code may result in termination of contracts, exclusion from future business, and referral to legal authorities where appropriate.
