As part of the Berlin Freedom Week, the evening opens with “Die Freiheitsapotheke”, a participatory literary format built together with book curator @Katja_liest.

Over four weeks on Instagram, her community was asked which books, sentences and voices help them keep speaking in moments when fear, silence, powerlessness or loneliness might otherwise take their voice away. A short German-language reading brings a selection of these answers into the room.

From there the evening turns to “Borrowed Words.

What does it mean to have a voice of our own when artificial intelligence can write almost anything for us? As AI becomes part of how we write, communicate and articulate our ideas, it raises a deeply human question: what remains distinctly ours? This part of the evening moves beyond the broader debate about what AI will do to society and focuses instead on voice, authorship and individual expression - where assistance becomes substitution and how technology can help people find their own words rather than speaking for them.
